Compressible Flow
This product is designed for theoretical analysis and experimental research related to gas flow and nozzle calculations in Engineering Thermodynamics and Aerodynamics.
The system consists of a gas source, test section, pressure measurement unit, and control valve assembly. By coordinating the air pump and valves, the apparatus can measure the pressure distribution curves of both converging nozzles and converging–diverging nozzles (Laval nozzles). The inlet pressure and back pressure of the nozzle can both be adjusted.
Three interchangeable nozzles are provided for studying the relationship between pressure and velocity ratios in different nozzle configurations, including one converging nozzle profile and two Laval nozzles with different expansion section lengths. The system is compact, safe, and suitable for independent laboratory experiments.

Experimental Functions
1.Demonstrate the nozzle choking phenomenon.
2.Study flow phenomena such as overexpansion and underexpansion when shock waves occur in the nozzle.
3.Investigate the relationship between inlet pressure and flow velocity inside the nozzle.
4.Study the relationship between ambient back pressure and internal flow velocity.
5.Analyze the influence of inlet pressure and back pressure on nozzle flow velocity.
6.Study the pressure distribution inside three types of nozzles under different inlet-to-outlet pressure ratios.
7.Support additional extended nozzle designs and experiments.
