Faculty and students from the Class of 2021 Energy Storage program at Shandong University recently visited MicroNewton (Shandong) Technology Development Co., Ltd. for a professional internship and hands-on exchange in energy storage experimental production.

The visit began in the conference room, where company leaders warmly welcomed the delegation. They provided a detailed introduction to MicroNewton’s energy storage products and experimental content, analyzing the current status and future prospects of energy storage technology both domestically and internationally.

Guided by Technical Management Center Director Yang Xukai, the students and faculty toured the company’s energy storage and related product facilities.
During the visit, the delegation observed demonstrations of:
● Compressed air energy storage system experiments
● Redox flow battery performance testing
● Electrolytic hydrogen fuel cell system design
● Supercapacitor performance testing
● Phase change energy storage integrated heat pump PVT system design and experiments
● Wind-solar-storage system design and experiments

Throughout the hands-on experiments, product managers provided step-by-step demonstrations, explained underlying principles, and allowed students to connect theoretical knowledge from their courses with practical production experience, deepening their understanding of energy storage concepts.

The visit also fostered active discussion and interaction, with students and faculty engaging in in-depth exchanges with MicroNewton’s design engineers.

This collaborative internship not only offered students a valuable opportunity to gain practical experience, but also allowed the company to receive professional insights and feedback, inspiring new ideas for product design and laying a solid foundation for future university-industry cooperation.
