Fundamentals of Fluid Mechanics
This apparatus is designed to demonstrate the water hammer pumping effect. The water hammer pump uses the principle of converting kinetic energy into pressure energy to transport water from a lower elevation to a higher elevation.
The device must be used together with the Basic Fluid Mechanics Experimental Bench to supply the required water flow. It consists of three main components: an upper water tank, the pump, and connecting pipelines. The pump includes a built-in air chamber to reduce hydraulic shock. Additionally, the apparatus is equipped with measurement instruments for monitoring parameters such as pressure.
