Product Description

This apparatus is mainly used to study the outflow characteristics of orifices with various shapes, including measuring parameters such as the coefficient of contraction, velocity coefficient, and discharge coefficient of small-orifice flow.

 

The main body of the device is a transparent glass container, which allows clear observation of changes in the water level. The flow rate and water level are regulated through the Basic Fluid Mechanics Experimental Bench. A multi-tube manometer is used to measure the total head and the pressure of the water flow after passing through the orifice. A vernier caliper is used to measure the jet diameter, and a traversing Pitot tube can be positioned at any point within the jet.
